Keep Me (Psalm 7: Praying Through Psalms)

“He who is pregnant with evil and conceives trouble gives birth to disillusionment.”  -Psalm 7:14

Almighty God, You are a shield, fortress, and protector. You are The Righteous Judge, armed with a powerful bow and flaming arrows. You hate the violence of the wicked.

At one time, my heart was only evil, all the time. I was dead. No pulse. I sought to gratify the cravings of my sinful nature and followed its desires and thoughts (Ephesians 2:3).

But because of Your great love for me, You scooped me up and rescued me from evil. And now, I am ALIVE! I have discovered that there is much more lasting delight found in You than in the momentary taste of my evil ways.

Father, keep me. Sustain me. Guard and protect me.
